32 weeks!!

We are growing more and more anxious to meet our little girl! We're in the home stretch and visiting the OB every two weeks now. Claire is still doing great and has been especially active these past few weeks and Carolyn has definitely been feeling the aches and pains of the third trimester but, it will be more than worth it once she's here in our arms! We're about to start the marathon of birthing classes, breastfeeding classes, and hospital tours in the coming weeks and it's going to make it all seem more real!

Carolyn's job is still going well. She's been offered a lot of opportunities to work and is trying to take full advantage of working now before Claire's arrival. Sean's work is going well, things are remaining slow, but he's hopeful that some more projects will be thrown his way soon. We've purchased two, baby friendly, cars recently as well, so that has been very exciting! Sean's now driving a Honda Ridgeline and Carolyn can be seen cruising around in her Toyota Prius (which has been especially nice with these crazy gas prices here in Northern VA. $4.00+ a gallon, yikes!).

We've been plugged into a great small group at our church and have really enjoyed getting to know the 3 other couples and their children. They've shared some great parenting advice already so we know they are going to all be a huge blessing once Claire is here! God continues to amaze us with his grace and blessings!

We're heading home for a fun filled weekend with the whole Beville clan! Bruce, Stacy, and Cameron are heading to Williamsburg and we are so excited to get everyone together!!

On a sad note, we will also be attending John Brawley's funeral on Sunday afternoon before heading back home. For those of you who did not know John, he was known as "Uncle Brawley" in the Reece home and was a very close family friend to Carolyn and the Reece's so this is a very sad loss for Carolyn and her family. We know that he is in a much better place and breathing easy, and as Carolyn likes to picture, whistling a tune with his classic plaid hat on his head and a kick in his step :).

29 weeks and Updates!

Lots of updates!

Carolyn did pass her boards and began her job last week and so far it seems great! Her co-workers all seem very friendly and it felt wonderful to use her skills and work with patients again. It really seems like its going to be a perfect situation for us.

Last weekend Sean's parents and Carolyn's mom drove up to Reston to help us move to our new town-home! The move couldn't have gone any more smoothly and we are almost completely settled. We are LOVING having more room and finally having a place to really settle and make our own, since we'll be here for at the very least, a year. Pictures are coming! Sean's big project, starting tomorrow, is to tackle constructing all of Claire's nursery furniture. We can't wait to officially start putting her room together!

We had another doctors appointment today and everything seems to be going well. Carolyn's glucose test, that screens for gestational diabetes, came back perfect and her blood pressure and blood work all look great. Claire's heart rate and growth are right on tract and she continues to spend her days dancing around in Carolyn's belly, something we have really enjoyed watching and feeling! We are officially into our third trimester and we now have doctors appointments every two weeks for the next 2 months and then every week after that. We are getting closer and closer to her arrival!

Please continue to keep our sweet girl in your prayers that she continues to grow and remain nice and healthy!

Here's a shot of the Belly today at 29 weeks and 3 days!

26 Weeks

Things are going great with Miss Claire. She's very active and dances in Carolyn's belly all the time. Some of her kicks are even a bit painful, but it's a great reminder of how well she's doing, so we don't complain :). Carolyn finally took her physical therapy board exam this past Monday, Jan 30th, and is now playing the waiting game and waiting to hear the results. She will begin her new job as a PRN physical therapist on Feb 13th (as long as she passes!) Sean continues to enjoy his job at the USGS and is enjoying his co-workers, his work, and especially a flexible schedule... which will be great after our girl arrives!

We've found a church in the area that we really enjoy and hope to get plugged into a small group soon so we can dive in with community and start meeting new people in the area. We feel very blessed for everything and want to thank you all for your continued prayers!

She's a She!!

We traveled to Yorktown this past weekend to visit with family and to get a 2nd ultrasound from the Ultrasonographer at Cathy's work. The experience was awesome! A huge thank you to Cathy for setting up the ultrasound appointment! Her office and staff all were fantastic and it was such a blessing to see our little girl again.

It was so special to have both Grandma's, Aunt Katie, Uncle Mike, and Kelsey in the room with us for the scan. They all got to see our girl too! And it is official.... Claire is most definitely a girl. She gave us the perfect "shot" right away at the beginning on the ultrasound and cooporated very well for us...she even gave us some dance moves and was quite possibly singing for us because she was moving her mouth the whole time. The ultrasound machine used there also had a special little surprise in store for us; it had a 3D/4D function! We were all surprised and excited when the ultrasonographer switched to the 3D function and we saw our little girls face for the first time! She's already such a cutie. We hope you enjoy the pictures!

We have other very exciting news as well! Carolyn received a job offer for a PRN position at a HealthSouth Rehab hospital! This, so far, seems like the answer to many many prayers. We are just waiting to hear their their policy for maternity leave before Carolyn officially takes the job, but we are very excited and hopeful!
