And...It's a GIRL!!! Miss Claire Elizabeth Beville
We had our big anatomy ultrasound on Dec 16th and go to see wonderful pictures and receive great news about our little one! First, and most importantly, everything looks wonderful. The ultrasonographer said that the heart, brain, kidneys, stomach, arms, legs and everything else looked perfect and baby is actually measuring ahead of schedule! She estimated the due date as April 29th based on the baby's current growth, so we'll see when she decides to make her debut.
The tech told us that the baby did not want to cooperate completely but she assured us that our little one is....A GIRL!!!! From what we could see, there did not seem to be any boy parts in any of the photos and Carolyn's uncle Mike, who is a physicist for GE and works specifically with the ultrasound machine that the clinic used for the scan!, verified that from our views that our little one is most certainly a girl. Pink, ribbons, and bows it is! We are SO excited and now can't wait to meet our little Claire Elizabeth Beville!!

Sorry for the long break!
Well, we're here! The move to Virginia could not have gone any more smoothly and we are very happy and settled in to our new apartment in Herndon, VA. Sean is really enjoying his new job at the US Geological Survey (particularly having his own office and living only 1 1/2 miles away from work!!) and Carolyn has already completed two interviews for PT positions in the area. So far, we are very pleased with the Reston/Herndon area and have enjoyed the convenience of a short 2-3 hour drive home to family already. Also, Amanda has made her way down from Baltimore to visit for lunch and dinner last Tuesday and we're planning on having dinner with Lauren tomorrow evening- we LOVE that we're able to do these things with great friends that we rarely got to see now that we're so close!
Carolyn visited the new OB last Tuesday and overall was very impressed. The office was very welcoming and the nurse practitioner whom she met with was extremely friendly and helpful. Baby's heart rate measured at a strong 145bpm but unfortunately we have to wait until Dec 16th for the anatomy scan sonogram to find out if our little peanut is a baby boy or a baby girl. Sean is thinking girl and Carolyn thinks boy....either way, we just hope he or she is healthy and happy but we are anxiously looking forward to next Friday!
Carolyn leaves this Thursday and Sean this Saturday for Dallas for the big, highly anticipated, GRADUATION WEEKEND!!! I know we are all thinking the same thing..FINALLY! We, especially Carolyn, are really looking forward to Sunday at 2:00 when she will officially become Dr. Carolyn Beville, PT DPT. We are also looking forward to seeing Carolyn's parents, both sets of her grandparents, as well as all of our Dallas friends again, many of whom we haven't seen in a while because they've been away on clinical rotations.
We'll update again soon after graduation, and then of course after the 16th when we learn a lot more about our peanut!

15 weeks and closing up shop in Dallas
We had our 15 week appointment on Friday (15 weeks and 2 days) and everything seems to be going well. Baby's heart rate was measured at 146 and sounded nice and strong per the Dr's report! This appointment was pretty boring. They only measured weight and blood pressure, completed a Doppler for HR, and took blood for the quad screen, which we should hear the results from within the next week. It was sad to say goodbye to our doctor here, as this was our last appointment here in Dallas with this office, but we have our records printed and an appointment scheduled for Nov 29th with the new OB's office in Northern VA! We're hoping for a sonogram soon after the move. We are becoming more and more anxious to learn if our little one is a boy or a girl! Oh yes, and Carolyn has started feeling little flutters every once and a while! So exciting!
We've pack up just about everything in our apartment in Euless and are heading out to go pick up the U-Haul this afternoon. Dad Beville (Pops) is flying down on Tuesday to help us load up the truck and will be driving the truck across the country on Wednesday morning and we will follow soon after that afternoon in the car. Please pray for safe travel for all and for patience, as Wednesday is the busiest travel day of the year and is sure to be a bit more stressful than we would like. We will update soon after we make our way across the country and get settled in in Virginia!

Belly Shot at 14 weeks
I swear, as far as we know, (and they searched very very well), there's only one baby in there :-). Belly just keeps popping.

The Beginning of the 2nd Trimester
Belly Shot #1: 12wks 0 days.
Carolyn's belly seemed to pop a bit this week! Nausea comes and goes, but thankfully is only present in the evenings, so Carolyn's days at her clinical have been a lot easier!
We've been making big plans for the move back to VA. We've signed a short 3 month lease on a small apartment in Herndon, VA and hope to find a home to purchase before the lease expires. It seems like there are a lot of good options in the area, so we're hopeful we'll find a good home.
Carolyn has applied to several jobs in the Northern VA area and has been checking in occasionally on rush hour traffic to see what commutes could be like. It seem like Carolyn may be spending a lot of time in the car in DC, but at least she's applying to part time positions so it hopefully won't be a daily adventure! We're prayerful that all will work out.
**Hopefully, by the time you're reading this blog post the Ranger's have won the World Series!! We're watching game 6 while we're typing this..... GO RANGERS!!

10 week Appointment
We visited our OB for our 10 week appointment today. No pictures to share but plenty of good news! We had a Doppler first thing today to finally really hear the heart beat for the first time. We were able to see the heart beat at our 6 week ultrasound and were able to hear a very faint noise but this was the first time we would hear the real deal!
The doctor was able to find the heart beat right away. We were so relieved and excited to hear the loud and strong 167 bpm heart rate! The doctor said it sounded fantastic and "impressive!" Everything else seems to be going great as well, so we are breathing a little easier now. Carolyn's daily nausea seems to slowly be subsiding a little more each day. Both of us are VERY thankful for that. Carolyn's tired of feeling terrible and Sean's tired of Carolyn's complaining :-). Next appointment isn't until 15 weeks so, unfortunately, we won't have much more news to share for a while, except maybe a belly picture here or there.
In other news, we had a fantastic time at Virginia Tech this past weekend with both of our families and a huge THANK YOU to Mike and Kelsey for their wonderful hospitality, it made the trip very memorable. Our first real VT experience surpassed all expectations. We are starting to make big plans for the move to Virginia! Soon!! The home search is fully underway in the Reston area and Carolyn has started her job search in the area as well. Many exciting things are coming our way and we feel more and more blessed each day!

Congratulations Sean!
Sean received some wonderful news this week! He was selected for a position as a Facilities Engineer at the US Geological Survey in Reston, VA!!! For the past several months we have been looking for opportunities to move closer to friends and family on the East coast and once we got the news of our new addition we became even more serious about our search. This has definitely been an answer to many many prayers. We couldn't ask for a better situation. However, at the same time, it is very bittersweet. We are extremely sad that we will be moving away from our awesome Dallas friends, our great church, and especially Bruce, Stacy, and Miss Cameron :( but hope and pray that many many visits will be in our future! Our peanut and cousin Cameron are going to be best friends, of course, so they are going to have to spend a lot of time together! :)
We're now in the major planning stage on when and how we're going to make the voyage across the country and where we are going to live. Carolyn finishes her final clinical on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and then graduates on December 11th so we're trying to coordinate! It's going to be quite a puzzle but we are excited for the challenge. Now, Carolyn gets to start looking at jobs in the DC area!! Hooray, for leaving the seemingly eternal student role and entering into society as a productive working woman!

6 weeks- The First Picture of Our Little Peanut!
We were thrilled to see our little one for the first time today! It's still very early but it's starting to finally feel real. The technician told us that that baby's heart beat looked great and that every thing was progressing at a perfect rate. Everything was measuring at exactly 6 weeks. We are feeling so blessed. Please continue to pray that everything continues to go well!
